How scouting works

The general logic of the score (not the weights).

Scouting measures how good you are at spotting underground talent before others, and how much you contribute to the scene over time. The general logic is public; exact weights and anti-abuse details stay private — like every ranking system, to prevent gaming.

Your scout score rises when

  • You back artists early who then grow organically.
  • You support a variety of artists, not just one.
  • You stick around: comments, activity, continuity across months.

It stays flat or drops when

  • You go inactive for long stretches.
  • You try to game the system or use artificial behaviour.
  • You back already-established artists (no discovery there) or pumped/fake growth.

Spend is not the lever

Paying more does not buy a higher score. A small real support proves conviction; from there what counts is whether your picks were truly underground and grew on their own.
